History

In May, 2000, Parker Hughes Cancer Center was formed to expand the capabilities and further the service of Parker Hughes Institute.

Founded in 1995, Parker Hughes Institute is an incubator that facilitates the successful translation of research discoveries to new and effective treatment modalities for patietns. The multidisciplinary staff work together in the quest to discover healing medicines and treatments.

The structure of the Institute and Cancer Center allow for constant collaboration between disciplines rather than separation. This effective work atmosphere is conducive to a sharing of ideas and results among scientists and physicians, enhancing the quality of the translational research and accelerating the drug development process.

In this unique, non-profit setting Parker Hughes Institute and Parker Hughes Cancer Center work together to successfully bring their discoveries from the laboratory bench to the patients bedside.
