The Social Work staff at Parker Hughes Cancer Center has a Volunteer Services Program that is currently seeking individuals to fulfill the following volunteer positions:

Play Attendants

Play Attendant volunteers will supervise and facilitate activities for children (primarily siblings of patients) in the play room of the Parker Hughes Cancer Center.

Volunteers must be age 13 or older and should be creative and enjoy working with young children. Volunteers are needed during weekday hours.

Patient/Family Helpers

Patient/Family Helpers are needed to assist patients and families with miscellaneous tasks and errands that may be difficult for them to accomplish during the course of treatment such as quick trips to the grocery or drug store or picking up lunch.
